"Everything I’ve heard so far about the aboriginals is bad. People, both Australians and international friends, warn me for “them”, talking about aboriginals as a parasite - as Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. When I arrived to Australia it was one of the first things mentioned to me. I guess a lot of people coming here just apply the negatives about indigenous issues, and do not experience the facts themselves - if it is true or not. Facing the issues myself I have become more curious about aboriginals and the field of indigenous people, and especially in my field as a human rights activist.
It was interesting walking into the exhibition the other day. As a visitor you can see a chart of those who realized the arrangement - referencing part to indigenous voices seen throughout the hall, written in white letters. I ended up just reading the white text, as I realized that, within those voices, the just (hi)story was spoken. The rest of the exhibition is told from a western angle, from white peoples point of view on aboriginals destiny. And what do westerners really know, part from being the ones who assumed they had their right to literally destroy aboriginals future some decades ago? I found two quotes from the exhibition interesting referring to westerners coming to Australia, first a man saying; “Every aboriginal is a prisoner in his own country” (Norman Harris, 1934) and a woman stating; “The blacks know that when the white man find gold white man always stays and the black man has to go” (Clara Saunders, 1894)...."
"Social Justice for me is being able to access equal opportunities for all people, participate in all activities of society and live a life of own choices. It should not be an ideal to live life full of opportunities, dignity, free from discrimination and disadvantages – it should be engraved into every human’s life no matter what. Humans should not have to ask for their rights being part of them. Adolescent girls around the world hold the power for overcome some of the toughest challenges facing the world today, and one of the biggest – preventing the poverty cycle to create social justice for all (UNICEF, 2011). According to my opinion girls are being discriminated and treated like the HR Declaration was only written to apply men. Adolescence must not just be associated with a time of vulnerability; it is also an age of opportunity, especially noticed when talking about adolescent girls. As seen in this essay it’s a huge importance and impact of society to encourage and let girls stay in school. It is fact that the more educated a girl become, the more likely she is to delay marriage and motherhood, she also have a greater opportunity to learn to read, express her mind, to be healthy, be a child that play and have fun and survive to adulthood and the same goes for her children (Plan Sweden, 2013). She also tends to lead the way for her sisters and friends and transform their lives and the world around them. Isn’t that great? At least it is justice."

Åh vad du är duktig!!!!!
